Here you will get a complete dating application. It uses acts_as_authenticated for handling signups, logins, administrator and how users interact on the site. It handles profiles, upload and scaling of user images and even an internal messaging system to send small messages to other users. The system is using mySQL as the database backend and has a lot of cool ajax stuff och other nice features.

It is a perfect starting point for someone new to Rails which wants to get up on track fast with a nice not to big sample application.
